A new study finds some women sometimes have an orgasm sooner during sexual intercourse (premature orgasm). This condition is a chronic problem.
"For women, premature orgasm is more than just annoying. We think this is a serious condition as premature ejaculation in men," says researcher Sarafim Carvalho from Hospital Magalhaes Lemos in Porto, Portugal, as quoted by LiveScience, Thursday ( 27/10/2011).
Sexual dysfunction in women has yet to receive serious attention as it does in men. This is because of sexual dysfunction in men has been formally registered, but not for premature orgasm in women.
Carvalho and colleagues conducted a survey of 510 women aged 18-45 years the Portuguese which contains a questionnaire about the frequency of premature orgasm, if the woman had lost control during orgasm, whether depressed with this problem, and if satisfied with the relationship.
Given about 40 percent of women have an orgasm sometimes earlier than he wanted, and 14 percent of women reported experiencing orgasm more often early may require clinical attention. The results of this study have been reported in the journal Sexologies.
Extreme cases encountered a group of women who reported experiencing a lack of control during orgasm that occurs very early during intercourse, causing discomfort to the individual and family.
Reports received by the researchers were female premature orgasm describes discomfort similar to what is perceived by men as experiencing premature ejaculation.
Premature orgasm in women generally do not provide the opportunity to partner to achieve sexual satisfaction, because usually if someone is having an orgasm then it becomes uncomfortable to continue sex due to a change in mood.
